Where the spark went
For a while, front-end work had started to feel like admin. Fighting build tools, chasing browser quirks and rewriting the same patterns for the fifth time left little room for the part I actually enjoy: making interfaces feel right.
I still loved designing in Figma. It was the bit between the design and the finished build that had lost its shine.
What changed
Claude Code changed the shape of my day. The repetitive parts, like scaffolding components, wiring up layouts and checking edge cases, now take minutes instead of hours. That leaves more time for the details that make a site feel considered: spacing, motion, states and responsiveness.
It isn’t about handing over the work. Every decision and every line that ships is still reviewed by me. It’s more like having a fast, patient pair programmer who never gets bored of the dull bits.
Why it matters for clients
Agencies get the same senior design thinking, delivered faster, with more time spent on polish rather than plumbing. And I get to enjoy building things again, which always shows in the work.
